Acer stellte in Amerika kein neues Netbook vor sondern ein Mini Notebook mit dem Namen "Acer Aspire Timeline."
Acer tritt hier gegen Dells Adamo und das Apple Macbook Air an, denn es ist sehr dünn und leicht. Das Acer Aspire Timeline hat ein 13,3 Zoll Display mit einer Auflösung von 1366x768 Pixel. Das ist das erste Modell von der Timeline Serie später sollen noch 14,1 und 15,6 Zoll Displays folgen.
Das es kein Netbook ist sieht man auch beim verwendeten Prozessor, Acer verbaut hier den Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 mit 1,4 Ghz und hat 3 Megabyte L2 Cache.
Neben den Intal Core 2 Duo setzt man beim Chipsatz auf GS45 Express mit einem Grafikkern GMA-4500 MHD. Beim Speichermedium kann man zwischen einer 320 Gigabyte Festplatte oder einer 80 Gigabyte SSD auswählen. Auch beim Speicher wurde nicht gespart, so hat man 4 Gigabyte und man kann sogar auf bis zu 8 Gigabyte aufrüsten. Wlan, Kartenlese Gerät und Bluetooth 2.0 ist mit an Board.
Also sollten die Preis Gerüchte stimmen wäre das ein echter Hammer, Medienberichte sprechen davon das der Timeline unter 1000 Dollar zu haben sei.
